Alha is a genre of oral epic poetry, popular in Bihar and other parts of North India, which narrates the heroic exploits of the legendary warriors Alha and Udal. The tradition of singing these ballads, known as 'Alha', is a popular form of folk entertainment in Bihar, especially during the monsoon season.
