Hailing from Darbhanga, Yamuna Karjee was a key figure in India's freedom struggle and a champion of farmers' rights. Along with Swami Sahajanand Saraswati, he co-founded the Bihar Provincial Kisan Sabha, which became a powerful platform for mobilizing peasants against the zamindari system and British colonial policies.
